1.Why did the Titanic hit the iceberg?

Reasons: 

1. I think the reasons of Titanic hit the iceberg is ship captain,Captain Smith fault of being ignored seven iceberg warnings from his crew and other ships. If he had called for the ship to slow down then maybe the Titanic disaster would not have happened.This is because large ship like Titanic is very hard to shy away when the iceberg is able to be seen clearly in the dark and cold night.

2. Second,i think the weather condition in iceberg area also is one of the main reasons of Titanic hit the iceberg.In such cold and freeze night,human's attention will be definitely went down.In addition,darkness of surroundings on the sea and freezing breeze makes Titanic ship sailor more hard to found the appear of iceberg in front.So that,Titanic cannot make earlier dangers escaping on the sea.

3. Third,in my opinion,i think Titanic hit the iceberg also causes by the larger iceberg occupied below the sea surface while there is only a small part of iceberg float and visible on the sea surface.This is because of the density principle in physics studies.In fact of saw the iceberg,the ship still cannot shy away from the iceberg below the sea surface which is invisible.

4. Fourth,the hitting of Titanic to the iceberg may causes by the sailing technology limitation in that century.If Titanic was equipped with high technology optical sensor and infrared sensor to detect unknown object below the sea surface,captain or sailor would be able to detect the dangerous and the real looks of the iceberg.Then,the hiting on the iceberg can be avoided and peoples will alive.

2.What is this object of curiosity?What does it do?How and why?

In my opinion,i think this object is a cover of some else container.It used to cover a container which is use to fill liquid or powder form of things.I get this thought by its side wings on the top which looks like functioned as the holder of the COVER.Besides that,there is also a few stripes inside the 'X object' which i guess is the cover pattern to tighten or enhance the covering on a container.

Second,i think this X object is a shape builder which is used to shaping clay for clay modelling or figuring.It can cut and shape the clay in small cube object.I make this guesses by its looks of cube shape and holder on the top.To use it,we just hold the wings look holder on the top and the cube shape container used to create a clay shapes.

Third,i guess it is a plastic cork of a container or cylinder.It is used to prevent the spilting of liquid and make sure the cylinder or container in a closed condition without easily spill out.I make these thinking by its appearance of stopper-looks and tough in body with made of not easily broken material.It can be used on water cylinder stopper or anything with matchable hole.
